Tybee Island is the perfect destination for the outdoor enthusiast and offers activities from fishing and kayaking to jet-skiing and parasailing. This barrier island on Georgia’s Coast boasts five miles of beach with sea oat-covered sand dunes –- just perfect for sunbathing, people watching and enjoying Atlantic Ocean views. Even in the off season, our weather is usually mild enough for nature walks and sunset boat cruises.
Tybee Island Light Station and Museum
The Tybee Island Light Station is one of America's most intact having all of its historic support buildings on the five-acre site. Having been rebuilt several times, the current light station displays its 1916 day mark with 178 stairs and a First Order Fresnel lens (nine feet tall).
Ft. Pulaski National Park
Fort Pulaski National Monument offers daily interpretive programs including guided tours and musket firings. Expanded living history programs, including hourly cannon demonstrations, are held each Saturday.
Tybee Pier & Pavilion
Located just steps from the Sea & Breeze Hotel at the end of Tybrisa Street. Great location for fishing and people watching. Besides its spectacular view and great fishing location, it’s also a meeting place used for dances, musical performances and special events. On the premises are picnic tables, snack bar, and public restrooms. Various festivals and events held here throughout the year. Open daily. Free admission.
